EIM Testimonials and Endorsement

God has blessed the ministry of EIM in an extraordinary way.  Christ has been exalted, souls have been

Saved, and peoples lives have been made better through the evangelism, teaching and feeding programs of EIM.

David Watkins

Senior Pastor

First Baptist Church, Magnolia, Arkansas

I first became acquainted with the Goodwin's in the mid 1980's.  Since then I have had Bro. Rocky and Bro. Mike in revival meetings a number of time.  In 1997 my wife and I were invited to spend Labor Day weekend with Bro. Rocky and his family, Bro. Rocky shared his vision of organizing an evangelistic ministry that would go through any open door, any where, to tell people about Jesus and His saving grace.  Honestly, I thought Bro. Rocky was at a stage in life where he should be looking at retirement in a few years, but God has His own plans for His people.

From the very beginning God has breathed upon this ministry.  I believe the Goodwin family to be genuine people.  I also believe all of the staff at EIM to genuine as well.  This has been a major factor in pastoring four churches that have been supporters of this organization.  Whether you be Missionary, Independent, or Southern Baptist if you have a heart for worldwide evangelism you will soon see worldwide assignment EIM has been given!   I highly recommend EIM to any Church or Pastor who may be looking to partner with a Biblical, ethical, and accountable mission work.  In today's spiritual climate these are necessary qualities we should all require.

May God bless all of EIM and send forth more laborers into His field.

"There is not a doubt in my mind that Evangelistic International Ministries is busy fulfilling The Great Commission.  EIM is working to meet both spiritual and physical needs of thousands around the world through evangelistic outreach, feeding programs, and church planting.  I count myself fortunate to have worked on short-term mission trips with EIM in West Africa where we have seen hundreds come into a personal relationship with Jesus.  The cause of Christ is being advanced daily through the vision and work of Evangelistic International Ministries.  I am grateful for the vision God has given the EIM team and anticipate an even greater harvest of souls in the years to come."

I have not met another organization that equals the impact EIM is making around the world. If the global impact is not seen in our life time, we will see the fruits of their hard work when we get to Heaven. It has been a pleasure to be a ministry partner with EIM for the past four years. I could think of no better way to spend my spare time.

EIM in Honduras is touching the lives of many people through the hospital and chaplain ministry along with the monthly surgical teams who come from the U.S.A. to give physical and spiritual help to the needy.  The surgeries help many of the people who have very limited resources.  The chaplain is a man of God and is reaching many souls for Christ.  There is a follow up program as well through the local pastors.

EIM's nutrition program not only helped thousands of school children in a wide area of Honduras to have a well-balanced lunch, but many came to accept Christ as well, through the evangelistic services held at the school.
EIM is also working through the established churches with evangelistic crusades. Church members are excited and involved in bringing in the lost and many folks have already been won to Christ this year.

The partnership between Evangelistic International and Here's Hope Ministries in supplemental feeding and Shepherd Bag distribution has been a very rewarding and effective program. Last year, we were able to help more than 25,000 malnourished and deprived children. We are preparing to do the same this year. Not only has this partnership helped all these children, it has also given us the opportunity to more efficiently share the Gospel of God's love with thousands who we could not have possibly reached otherwise. This has resulted in many new outreaches and missions, and has given our Pastors and workers a renewed zeal in their ministry. I praise God for the tremendous work of E.I.M. and for allowing us to participate with them in implementing these programs in the Philippines.

"I wholeheartedly endorse the ministry of E.I.M. (Evangelistic International Ministries).  Bro. Rocky, Mike, and the others who are directly involved in this work are serious about the work that God has given to them.  They follow the leading of the Lord and seek to be His instruments in reaching many with the life-changing message of the Gospel.  As a result of their faithfulness, God has blessed and continues to bless them. I pray that God will impress upon the hearts of His people and churches the need to support this worthwhile ministry with regular prayers and finances."

God calls each one of his children to service.  The call came for Mary and me in 1979 sitting on a mountaintop in Honduras.  The call was for us to commit our lives and medical skills to whatever and wherever God needed them.  Thankfully he had a place at the Centro Socorro de Lo Alto Hospital in Sula, Honduras.  There we worked until it's closing in 2002.  Believing with all our hearts God did not want that work to end EVANGELISTIC INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES felt the call to intervene.  Glory to God the work continues, bigger and better than ever.

What makes Christians different?  What sets us apart from the billions of others with whom we share this planet?  Is it our belief in one God?  James 2:19 says "you believe there is one God. Good: Even the demons believe that; and shudder."  It's obviously good to believe in one God, but we aren't quite at that defining quality of what sets us apart.    As Christians we make a lot of proclamations and distinctions of our faith.  The word "Faith" (Greek pistis - a conscious belief in that which is beyond ones empirical world) mean we express a strong believes or trusts in a power greater than ourselves that controls our destiny.  I think few would argue that faith is not an integral part of what sets Christians apart, but it doesn't stop there.  James 2 expands on the subject stating 14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

The logic is quite apparent, our belief leads to faith, and faith leads to action.  In Luke 17 Jesus apostles ask the Lord to "5Increase our faith." 6He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."  I suppose the West Texas translation is that a little goes a long way when it comes to faith.  As action follows faith, the same holds true.  A little action goes a long way.

The Butterfly Effect is a phrase used to describe conditions in chaos theory.  The theory is used by mathematics and physics to attempt to define or predict and connect random causes to eventual outcomes.  (The movement of air from a butterflies wings in Mexico ultimately causes, or prevents, a tornado in Oklahoma)  Chaos theory makes no presumption of a higher power or divine intervention guiding events but nonetheless predicts tremendous effect with little or no cause.  If mankind is capable of developing theories describing incredible potential results based on chaos, how much more powerful must the cause and effect become when you insert the multiplier we know as God in the place of random chaos.

The work by EIM and other faith based groups is evidence that when faith is moved to action and God replaces chaos in the equation, marvelous things start to happen.  Did brother Rocky have any idea of the magnitude and affect his initial visits to minister outside the country would have such a short time ago.  How many lives have been changed? How many lives have been saved? How many souls have received salvation?  Like the hairs on our head, only God can truly keep an accurate accounting.  Small, seemingly insignificant actions yield tremendous results.

The scenario has repeated itself countless times over the few short years of EIM's ministries.  A person with no housing, no food, and no hope sees a stranger come into his world.  Suspicious at first, the person becomes curious, approaches the stranger and finds the hand of a spirit filled person offering help, but more importantly hope.  Hope for today, hope for tomorrow, and most importantly hope in the hereafter.  As hope grows, faith becomes rooted. As faith grow, the spirit of God acts.  This new faith and spirit moves within the individual compelling him to act.  He extends his had to another, and so the process continues and multiplies to the glory of God.

Jesus performed numerous miracles during his ministry healing the sick; even bringing the dead back to life.  Prior to the miracle of the feeding of the 5000, the scripture makes note that Jesus looked upon the crowd and "had compassion",   in making the body whole, Jesus reached the spirit.  In the same way, the humanitarian work EIM performs is critical in their ultimate vision to bring people salvation through Jesus and his sacrifice.  Coupling humanitarian work with evangelistic work means that when that hand is extended, there is something in it.

This is the work of faith through action.  In my years of experience in humanitarian work Breedlove has delivered millions of servings of food aid to scores of organizations to dozens of countries.   Some projects are more effective than others.  The most effective are generally faith based organizations such as EIM that place God in the middle of the equation.  He becomes the great multiplier, taking small actions on the part of his servants and creating huge results.  The only question in the equation us.  Are we willing to support the work by stepping from faith to action?

At Breedlove we produce food for humanitarian aid.  One dollar will feed over 20 people.  What I spend on a hamburger and fries for my lunch today will feed over a hundred.  What I spend taking my family to lunch after church next Sunday could feed around a thousand.  EIM has fed tens of thousands since our relationship began in 2002.  This is only a small component of the overall mission which EIM performs.  Thousands and thousands of Sheppard bags have been distributed to the needy, and medical care has been provided to uncounted others.  EIM provides hope to the hopeless and has compassion for those among us who have not been blessed with the abundance we share in this country.  Most importantly, thousands have been brought to Christ and are now able to share that most precious gift that only God can provide.

My prayer is that the people of this country who have been blessed with so much, and profess to be people of faith will be compelled to take action, and that action will include supporting the mission of EIM and others like them.  You may never know how God will leverage and multiply that gift, but you can be certain that it will be enormous.  Miracles still happen, every day of every week of every year in this work.  There is truly no better investment one will ever make to help others both in body and in spirit.  I know of no other work more crucial in these times that are both troubled, and yet exciting beyond description.

It is truly an exciting time to be a Christian.

In December 2004, Bro. Rocky and Bro. Mike changed our lives forever. Sara and I were invited to go distribute clothes in Romania. Before we left, Bro. Rocky told us that we would either love mission work and would get more involved, or hate it enough to never go to the field again. Well, here it is 2008 and we are planning our seventh trip. Our Lord has used EIM to show us our service area for HIM. In July 2006, we introduced Bible School to a small village in northern Romania. This year we are expanding our ministry to another village with the prospect of two additional villages. We have been blessed with other team members that love the Lord and willing to work long hours in very hard conditions to bring the "Good News" to the children of this area.

May GOD continue to bless EIM and their work around the world.

It is an honor to serve the God who gives to our ministry in order to give to EIM.  There is no doubt that we witness the very hand of God moving through your ministers as they move throughout the world bringing His Light and Love.  Your reports, pictures, and testimonies show the fruit.  We appreciate how your ministry is open to providing us the financial accountability for each dime you receive.  There are many that claim to take the Gospel message, but few who do it with such stability, responsibility, and accountability.  You have our continued support.

Thanks to God for giving me an opportunity to join with the EIM. By the regular support of EIM, I have been equipping to preach the Gospel, through both in word and deed, to the both of Spiritual & Physical starving people in Nepal. The EIM has been assisting me to provide foods and blankets to the poorest people like the labors in the brickyards ( who are living like the Hebrews in Egypt in the Old Testament) and Chepang people ( who are living by eating the eatable roots & shoots in the Jungle), and to provide the Bibles & Hymns to the new converts as well as to those believers in different local churches who can not buy the Bible even for personal use. Not only this, EIM has also been equipping the local pastors & leaders by providing leadership training & seminars.

Thanks again to EIM for equipping me as well as more Nepalese local pastors to accomplish the task given by the Lord.
